Same yard, six hours apart.
What we walked into
Four years of nobody touching it. Beds gone to bindweed, the edge lost entirely, two shrubs dead in the middle and a foot of leaf mould over everything.
What we did
Cleared it back by hand, cut a fresh spade edge the whole way round, pulled the dead shrubs and put three new ones in, then eight yards of hardwood mulch. Two of us, six hours, one trailer load away.
What it cost
$1,180, agreed on the phone before we turned up, and that is what she paid. Mulch, plants, labour and haul-away all in.
Why we show this one
Because people put this off for years thinking it is a big job. It is almost never a big job. It is one Saturday and less than most people spend on a sofa.

Usually within the week. One or two days on site, everything hauled off, and we will text you a photo when it is done.

What does a typical yard cost?
Most mulch-and-edge jobs land between $420 and $900 depending on how many beds and how bad the edge has got. A full clean-up is usually $380 to $1,400. Sod runs about $2.40 a square foot laid. We will give you a real number on the phone, not a range.
How soon can you come?
Usually the same week, often the same weekend in spring and fall. We will tell you honestly on the call — we would rather say "two weeks" and mean it.
Do you need to come out to quote?
For mulch, beds and clean-ups, usually not — a couple of photos on your phone is plenty. For sod or anything bigger we will swing by, free, at a time that suits.
Do you haul the mess away?
Always, and it is always in the price. You should not be left with six bags by the kerb wondering what to do with them.
Do you do mowing?
No, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. We do the jobs that change how a yard looks. For weekly mowing we will give you two names we would use ourselves.
What if it rains?
We ring you the night before and move it, no charge and no fuss. Laying sod or mulch into mud helps nobody.
